Thomas Lash, senior partner and co-founder of Saxon, Gilmore, Carraway, Gibbons, Lash & Wilcox, P.A., has practiced creditors’ rights, bankruptcy and corporate law in Tampa since 1989. He is a 1983 graduate of the University of Richmond with a B.S. in Business Administration, magna cum laude, Beta Gamma Sigma. He earned his C.P.A. in 1985 and a J.D. degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1988.  Mr. Lash has significant experience in litigating claims arising under various consumer protection statutes, including without limitation, the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 U.S.C. §1692 et seq. (“FDCPA”); the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act, Fla. Stat. §559.55 et seq. (“FCCPA”); the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C §1681 et seq. (“FCRA”); the Federal Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, 12 U.S.C §2601 et seq. (“RESPA); and, the Federal Truth In Lending Act, 15 U.S.C §1601 et seq. (“TILA”).    He also handles more complex consumer litigation cases involving debt collection and bill collection.  Mr. Lash is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar www.hillsbar.com and the Florida Bar www.floridabar.com as well as a other Bar and local organizations.
